F-Zero: GP Legend is a fantastic GBA racer based on the anime of the same name, featuring Story Mode with 8 playable characters including Rick Wheeler and Captain Falcon, 34 total pilots, four Grand Prix cups, Time Attack, Link Cable multiplayer for up to 4 players, and a Mode 7 engine that delivers silky-smooth futuristic racing on Game Boy Advance hardware. But the Japanese version had something the West never received: e-Reader support.
In Japan, physical cards were distributed through retailers and Bandai Carddass vending machines — 60 cards in total — that unlocked 20 entirely new courses across a secret Card e+ Cup, challenge ghosts from Nintendo staff, and additional machines. The international release stripped all of it out. Western players never got the extra tracks, the ghost challenges, or the Card e+ Cup. For over 15 years, that content was simply inaccessible outside Japan — until modder Guy Perfect spent years hunting down every last card, including rare Carddass-exclusive ones, and built the e+ Complete patch to restore everything.
This cartridge uses the e+ Complete patch, which incorporates all e-Reader content directly into the game for all regions — no cards, no e-Reader accessory needed.
