OpenLara Alpha – Tomb Raider Classic Engine Running on Game Boy Advance | GBA Homebrew Cartridge
16,50 €
OpenLara Alpha – Lara Croft on a Game Boy Advance. Yes, Really.
Tomb Raider. On a Game Boy Advance. On a real cartridge.
OpenLara is an open-source recreation of the classic Tomb Raider engine, originally built for PC by developer XProger (Timur Gagiev) — and then, in one of the most technically impressive homebrew achievements in GBA history, ported to Nintendo’s handheld. This alpha release brings the iconic 3D world of the original 1996 Tomb Raider to the GBA’s hardware in a way that genuinely should not be possible.
Watching Lara Croft move through fully rendered 3D environments on a Game Boy Advance screen is one of those moments that makes you remember why retro gaming and the homebrew community are so extraordinary. This is a piece of GBA history — a proof of concept that pushed the limits of what people thought the hardware could ever do.
⚠️ Please note: This is an alpha build — an early, experimental version of the port. It demonstrates the engine running on GBA hardware and is a remarkable technical showcase, but it is not a complete, polished game experience. It is sold and valued as the remarkable homebrew curiosity it is: a collector’s piece and a conversation starter as much as a playable release.
🎮 Compatible with:
Game Boy Advance · GBA SP · Game Boy Micro · Nintendo DS · DS Lite
✅ Available in 6 cartridge shell colors: Clear Green, Gray, Red, Clear Blue, Green, Clear Red
