Metroid Spooky Mission 2: The Nightmare Before Christmas v1.2a – Samus Returns from the Dead to Stop Eternal Christmas

You thought it was over. Samus stopped Imago, saved Halloween, and then fell into Ing Ing’s pitfall trap and was crushed by a falling pumpkin. That should have been the end.

But Imago is back. And this time the threat is eternal Christmas.

Samus’s soul is snapped back to the physical realm for one final mission: return to Spooky Isle, find Imago again, and put a stop to this once and for all. Metroid Spooky Mission 2: The Nightmare Before Christmas by the Spooky Team is the direct sequel to the MetConst 2017 Fall Contest winner, shifting the setting from Halloween dread to festive menace in a Zero Mission hack that carries the same non-linear spirit as its predecessor while delivering an entirely new adventure.

Version 1.2a is the current release. If you haven’t played the original Spooky Mission, it’s available separately in the store — the sequel follows directly from that game’s ending, and the story rewards players who’ve made the trip through the space pumpkin first. That said, the Christmas theming and distinct setting make it accessible enough to stand on its own for anyone who just wants a seasonally unusual Metroid experience.
