Metroid: Scrolls 6 began as a competition entry for the 2018 Berserker Contest, created by a four-person team of Conner, OneOf99, CaptGlitch, and JRP. What they built was ambitious enough that the contest version became the foundation for something bigger — the v1.1 release is a fully overhauled edition of that original, expanded and refined into one of the most complete and polished Zero Mission hacks available.
The hack offers 7 full explorable areas with entirely new graphics throughout, replacing every visual element of the base game with original artwork built for this world. The open-ended structure keeps the Metroidvania spirit intact — areas interconnect, secrets reward exploration, and the layout contains things that have never been seen in a hack before. Completing the experience is a fully original soundtrack composed specifically for the game, available to listen to on SoundCloud.
