Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure (Sintax) – The GBA Game, Squeezed Down to Game Boy by Bootleg Wizards
Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure on GBA is a legitimately excellent licensed game — a faithful retelling of the original Dragon Ball manga’s early arcs with tight platforming and proper combat. Sintax looked at it and thought: we can put that on Game Boy Color.
The result is Qi Long Zhu Z3 (七龍珠Z3) — a bootleg GBC demake that strips out the world map, cutscenes, and most game modes, retaining only the platforming stages from the story mode and faithfully carrying over the core mechanics. Child Goku is the only playable character, and the soundtrack has been replaced entirely with music lifted from the official Lemmings & Oh No! More Lemmings GBC game.
It’s a Sintax joint through and through — resourceful, rough around the edges, and oddly earnest in its ambition to bring a GBA experience down to older hardware.
