Revenge of the Findesiecle Deluxe+ is a Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance hack that has grown over years of development into one of the most ambitious Castlevania fan projects ever made. Version 2.2.47 (June 2022) ships with nine distinct playable characters, each built out with their own theme music, menu screens, level-up sequences, sub-weapons, and item sets — not palette swaps, but genuinely differentiated playthroughs of the same game.
The roster spans the breadth of the Castlevania series and beyond. Simon Belmont plays as the classic whip-wielding vampire hunter from the boss rush mode. Julius Belmont (Aria of Sorrow) brings his full moveset, theme, and sub-weapon suite. Maxim Kischine (Harmony of Dissonance itself) is fully implemented with his own toolkit. J. Morris and Eric Lecarde from Castlevania: Bloodlines are both present with complete individual implementations, making this one of the few GBA experiences where either character is playable. SimonX is an enhanced Simon variant with a higher jump and ability progression. JusteX — Devil Juste — cranks the speed to extremes and replaces the whip with a remade sword. And then there’s Mega Man and Mario, who are exactly who you think they are, doing what they do, in Dracula’s castle.
