Saint Seiya — known as Knights of the Zodiac in the West — was a defining anime of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Seiya, Shiryu, Hyoga, Shun, and Ikki became icons for a generation of fans. Yet despite the series’ massive popularity during the Game Boy era, a proper GBC action game never materialized. zeichigames decided to fix that.
The Phoenix Returns is a fan-made GBC homebrew built with genuine affection for the source material — a playable retelling of the Black Saints arc that captures the spirit of the anime in pixel-perfect portable form.
