Description:

“Metal Slug: Yue Nan Zhan Yi 3 (越南戰役3)” is an unlicensed platform game for the Game Boy Color, created by SINTAX, possibly around 2002 or 2003. The game’s engine was later used by SINTAX to create other platform/action games such as “METROID (Xian Dan Chao Ren / Ultraman)” and “JAMES BOND (Jue Dui Wu Li) (絕對武力).”

In the game, you control “Fio Gerni” through a series of levels (7 in total). To progress between stages, you must explore these levels, eliminating enemies and finding the exit. The game has a total of 6 levels and a final stage where the player fights a “Final Boss.” While some of the stages appear quite open, the player simply needs to reach the exit point in the level to advance. Scattered throughout the levels are the typical power-ups, such as health items and other types of weapons. The music in this game is taken from the licensed Game Boy Color game “Lemmings.” The game’s ending is a simple screen displaying the phrase “The End.” Some of the game’s sprites appear to have been taken from the Metal Slug games for the Neo Geo Pocket console.
