John, Paul, George, and Ringo replace the Mario Bros. cast as you battle the Blue Meanies across the vivid, surreal paradise of Pepperland in one of the most imaginative and lovingly crafted fan hacks in the GBA library.
The SMB2 engine is a natural fit for the source material — its floaty, character-distinct gameplay and brightly coloured worlds translate seamlessly into Pepperland’s psychedelic aesthetic. NesDraug and Shauing have overhauled the visuals throughout, replacing sprites, tilesets, and enemies to bring the Yellow Submarine world to life on the GBA screen. Version 1.2 (November 2021) is the final polished release of a two-year passion project.
